What we collect and why

This website has no accounts, forms, cookies, analytics or advertising tools. We only hold personal information you choose to send us, for example your name, email address, organisation and the content of your message when you email us or contact us on LinkedIn.

We use it to reply to you, to discuss possible work and to keep a record of our business contacts and correspondence. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests in running the business or, where you ask for a proposal, steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

Our hosting provider also processes technical data, such as your IP address and the page requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. It is processed on our behalf by our service providers, including Cloudflare (website hosting) and Microsoft (email), and we may share it with professional advisers where needed. Some providers may process information outside the UK, using safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact. Information relating to a client engagement is kept for six years after it ends, for legal and accounting reasons.

Your rights and complaints

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal information, and ask us to correct or delete it, restrict our use of it or stop using it. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
